No class on 11/13 or 11/27

Hi, everyone. I want to announce that we will not be having English class at either the Chinese School or Alumni Village on 11/13 (Veteran’s Day weekend) or 11/27 (Thanksgiving weekend). I will be out of town at a conference on 11/13 and have a lot of school work to do (along with perhaps being out of town) on Thanksgiving weekend.

So, in November, we will be meeting two times: this Sunday (11/13) and 11/20.

On 11/20, there is a Thanksgiving party at Alumni Village in our normal classroom, so we will meet outside (which is fine, since we will be making our movie), or in the Alumni Village office (if the weather is bad). If we meet in the office, we may be able to shoot our indoor scenes there.

See you Sunday!

The English Class at Tallahassee Chinese School Begins Next Sunday!

Learning English at Chinese School

As Fall classes start at FSU, the Tallahassee Chinese School will start next Sunday, September 11, 2011. If you can spare a couple of hours on Sunday afternoons to improve your English skills, please consider taking this class. The class will be limited to 15 participants, so that everyone will get a good opportunity to participate.

The class will be taught by me, Scott Keller. I will write a post about my qualifications in the next few days. Briefly, I am a full-time programmer at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and am taking classes at FSU toward getting a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I have tutored mostly Chinese speakers for four years and have taught two semesters at the Chinese School and another class at Alumni Village.

If you are interested, please find the very short signup form on the ENGLISH AT CHINESE SCHOOL (TCS) menu, above.

See you on Sunday!

Scott Keller
