Wendy,

No, the stuff in the upper left of the dish is definitely not chicken. They charged my Y15 and the prices of stuff on the board was more like Y5, so I paid for whatever it was! Can you send me the Hanzi for "spicy" at KFC? Then I can order it! Thanks, Scott

The noodles should be chicken noodle. Snake or eel is more expensive than chicken. In the KFC, did you order spicy chicken that tasts good?

Hi Allwyn,

Thanks for your feedback on the loading time. I'll see what I can do. I may do a couple of entries of general observations without pictures, which will push out a couple of the oldest entries into the archive (where you have to click the link at the bottom of the page to get to them), or I'll find the setting and have fewer entries loaded in the current page.

These Chinese gardens are very cool. If I was living in a house with the Humble Administrator's Garden as my back yard (without all the tourists), I would be so relaxed I wouldn't know how to act!

As far as the noodle place goes, I asked for pork and got chicken, so even if I asked "What is this?" (那 是 什么, or "Nà shì shénme?"), I wouldn't be able to understand their answer. Like I said, it was good, so maybe I'd rather not know!!!

Talk to you soon,

The page did take little longer than usual time. When I hit your blog site, it just doesn't load the current blog entry, it loads a whole lot of entries below, so that also could be another reason.

Moon gates are very cool. Didn't you ask the noodle place what they had put ? snake or eel or whatever? mmhmm
